It’s 30 years since I’ve been to Wales … I was there regularly at one time. We drove across the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains to reach our holiday cottage near Cardigan – the peaks were still covered in snow. It’s a beautiful area.

We were blessed with dry and mostly sunny weather – such a welcome change after the unrelenting cold weather we’ve been experiencing. It did rain once or twice, but it was never an inconvenience. God is good!

We fitted a lot into our week … Cardigan, Aberystwyth, St Davids, the nature reserve at Cilgerran (twice), the reservoir at Llys-y-fran, a boat trip from New Quay (no dolphins this time … ), a walk round Dinas Head … we’ll go again, there’s so much more to do, although we were rather dependent on dry(ish) weather!

Here are just a few photos of the week … I had two cameras with me and made good use of both of them
